Playa de Aro

Senia Cala Gogo is a campsite next to Playa de Aro, or Platja d'Aro in Catalan, just a 15-minute walk from the town centre. Playa de Aro is one of the most visited towns of the Costa Brava.

Playa de Aro is the seafront part of the town, with an extensive beach and central avenue, in which you will find a wide range of shops and restaurants.
S'Agaró on the other hand is a quiet area, with a principal avenue, smaller than Playa de Aro's, with luxurious houses and flats, and a great beach with very slight slopes, ideal for the kids.

What to do in Playa de Aro?

  • Sun and sea: Playa de Aro is also known for its beautiful bays with clean water. So, treat yourself at least a day to get to know these places and sunbathe.

  • Parc dels Estanys: Stroll through this charming park and reach the pond where more than 205 species of birds live in the wild. In the pond there is a vantage point to view these friendly animals. It is an ideal place to come as a family as the kids will enjoy the beauty of these birds.

  • Castle of Benedormiens: It is located in the historic center of Castell d´Aro and dates back to the year 1041. In the 15th century the building played a very important role in the defense of the area of La Vall d'Aro.

  • Aquadiver: this is one of the most important water parks of the Costa Brava and it is only 5 minutes away from Camping Cala Gogo. You can also buy tickets at the reception of the campsite.

  • Go shopping: if you book a campsite in Playa de Aro you must walk along the main street and visit all the shops in the area.
