Glampings in Catalonia

Glamping is a brand new way of camping and experiencing holidays in general. If you’ve ever enjoyed a summer camp, you’ll  have great memories of those times, and you remember them with some nostalgia for sure. Now glampings exist, you’ll be able to live those memories over and over, but without sleeping on the floor, as you will enjoy full luxury while being directly in touch with nature.

Nevertheless, despite of the luxury and comfort, the most important point of these accommodations is their location. What better way to enjoy nature than in a glamping in Catalonia? Either at the seaside or in the inlands, the region has lots of unique and wonderful places and landscapes we want you to discover.

If you still haven’t experienced a glamping getaway, we invite you to try it out. And to help you decide, we made a list of the best glampings in Catalonia. By the way, if you happen to know one that we haven’t included, let us know!

5. Glamping Tent in the middle of the mountains

On fifth position we have chosen the Glamping Tent located in the area of Osona (Barcelona) just a few minutes away from the medieval village of Rupit, where you will find Camping Rupit. We must highlight its environment, the spectacular nature that surrounds the campsite, full of pine trees and poplars, where you will wake up every morning to the birds singing. For some reason, there are also some cute little rabbits living on the campsite.

The location is great for those who love hiking, as you can start several routes from the village where you will enjoy all that nature offers. Because, as someone said, “Not all those who wander, are lost”. (+ info)

About the accommodation, it looks like a simple tent on the oustide, but is fully made of wood on the inside. A lovely rustic and cosy style.

4. Glamping Safari in the heart of the Costa Brava

This Glamping in Catalonia is located in the heart of the Costa Brava, at Camping Cala Gogo. It might be one of the biggest and most known campsites in the whole area, however this accomodation finds itself in a peaceful area of the campsite, on the highest part of the hill. Without any doubt, the best thing about this tent is its terrace and its panoramic view over the Mediterranean, where you will amaze yourself every evening with the sunsets of the Costa Brava.

Besides, it is a huge accommodation on the inside, fully made of wood which gives it a rustic vibe and makes it so cosy.  One of the rooms is hidden as a little attic room, and the tent has a total capacity of up to 6 people. The kids will love it!

Moreover, nearby you’ll find a pool with a jacuzzi and a Chill Out restaurant.

3. Glamping in Cala Canyelles

On third position, we have Camping Cala Canyelles. If you still do not know this place, it is time to discover one of the most impressive natural areas on the Costa Brava. Located between Lloret de Mar and Tossa de Mar, it has its Glamping at the top of the hill, among pine trees and oaks, and offers unique views over the sea, creating this amazing combination of greens and blues.

The accommodation has lots of space and luxury, it even has a dishwasher and an XXL shower.

2. Glamping Loft on the seafront

We are heading to Barcelona now, a very known area because of its large golden sand beaches. On one of these coasts you will find Camping Caballo de Mar, and its impressive two-floor accommodation, the Glamping Loft. On the main floor it has a large terrace, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room, a bathroom and a bedroom with a single bed and a bunk bed. If you go upstairs, you will find yourself in a big attic with a double bed. The Glamping is all made out of wood on the inside, which gives it this rustic vibe and makes it so cosy. There’s no detail missing!

As mentioned before, the most important point is not the glamping but the place, therefore it ows its second position on our ranking to its location. It finds itself right in front of the beach, just a few metres away from the sea. So you can bathe in the sea just a few steps away from this wonderful Glamping.

1. Glamping Loft Plus on the riverside

As the best Glamping in Catalonia, we’ve chosen the Loft Plus at Camping Riu, in Sant Pere Pescador. The accommodation finds itself on the shore of the Fluvia river, which runs across the lovely village of Sant Pere Pescador (Alt Emporda). In fact, there is a private pier at the campsite where you can moor your boat, right next to this glamping. Like the Loft at Caballo de Mar, this one has two floors but in this case, the attic has a 4-bed bedroom, and the bedroom with a double bed is downstairs.

Once more, the magic and charm of this glamping lie in its environment, as it is right next to Aiguamolls de l’Emporda Nature Park, a place known because of its flora, fauna and swamps.
