National Park Plitvička Jezera (Plitvice Lakes)

The unique beauty of the National Park Plitvice Lakes lies in its sixteen lakes, interconnected by a stunning series of waterfalls, all set in dense woodlands teeming with wildlife such as deer, bears, wolves, boars, and rare bird species. The park spans 300 square kilometers, with the lakes themselves covering over 8 kilometers.

Plitvice Lakes isn’t just a summer destination; it’s a magical place to visit at any time of the year.

The park has two main entrances:
Entrance 1: Open year-round, offering access to the lower lakes.
Entrance 2: Closed in winter, leading to the higher lakes.

Visitors can explore the park through several walking trails of varying durations, starting from the entrances. These trails include an enjoyable boat ride and a trip on an electric train. All trails are well-marked, making navigation easy and ensuring visitors can fully immerse themselves in the park’s natural splendor without the worry of getting lost.
