• Winter: Thousands of water birds arrive from the north, and some — like storks — already start preparing their nests for spring.
• Spring: Nature bursts into colour and sound, with blooming flowers, croaking frogs and birdsong. More than 80 species nest during this season.
• Summer: The wetlands partly dry up, leaving only the salty lagoons active. Wildlife adapts or leaves eggs and seeds for the next cycle.

A visit for everyone
The park offers easy, well-marked trails with bird hides (aguaits) where you can observe birds and other animals without disturbing them. There are paths accessible on foot or by bike (only on authorised routes). You’ll also find binocular rental services and visitor centres such as El Cortalet, where you can get advice and materials for your visit.

Tips for enjoying the park responsibly

• Plan your visit and bring water, sunscreen and mosquito repellent without picaridin (it’s harmful to amphibians).
• Avoid bringing pets. If you do, they must be kept on a lead and are not allowed on the beaches.
• Leave no trace: collect your rubbish, follow the signs and check the interactive park map to see which areas have restrictions.
